Welcome to my personal website. My name is Thomas Bronzwaer, and I am a postdoctoral researcher in astrophysics at Radboud University in The Netherlands. I am also a DJ and producer of electronic music, which I release under my own name and the alias Oaken Moths.

My research is centered around radiative transfer near black holes; I am the lead developer of the general-relativistic radiative transfer code RAPTOR, one of the numerical tools used to create simulated observations of accreting black holes for the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration.

On this site you’ll find blog posts and further information about me and my research, as well as various hobby projects that involve scientific coding and computer graphics.
